What information may be sold or shared

The information may include identifiers and contact information such as your name, telephone number, email address, and service address; location information such as city, state, and ZIP code; project and commercial information such as the requested service, project description, property details, timing, budget-related responses, form selections, photos or files you choose to provide, and communication preferences; and limited technical or referral information associated with the request.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive information that is not reasonably necessary for the service request. Please do not include government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, medical information, or similarly sensitive information in a project description.

Who may receive it

We may sell or disclose lead information directly to one or more independent contractors or service professionals interested in the requested work. We may also sell or disclose it to a third-party referral, matching, or lead-distribution company. That company may in turn route the request to one or more independent professionals in its network. These recipients are independent businesses, may contact you about the request, and handle information under their own privacy practices.

We may receive compensation for selling or distributing leads, referrals, advertising, or related services. We may also disclose information to operational vendors that process it on our behalf, as well as when required for security, legal compliance, business transfers, or another purpose described in the Privacy Policy. Your right to opt out

Effect on service requests

Connecting you with a professional ordinarily requires us to disclose your request to an independent contractor or a third-party referral or lead-distribution partner. After an applicable opt-out, we may be unable to route or fulfill a new request unless you later provide legally sufficient authorization for that particular disclosure. Where law requires an opt-in before sales or sharing can resume, we will request the required authorization.

An opt-out does not prevent disclosures that are reasonably necessary for website security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or use of service providers that process information only on our behalf and are not treated as buyers under applicable law.

Authorized agents

Where permitted, an authorized agent may submit an opt-out request for you. We may request proof that the agent is authorized to act for you and may contact you directly when allowed or required. Information supplied for verification will be used only to evaluate and process the request.

No unlawful discrimination

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. However, opting out may prevent the central matching function of this lead-generation service because that function depends on providing the request to businesses that may be able to perform the work.

Children

The website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
